Greenbelt

Greenbelt is an annual Christian charity/campaigning festival in the UK.

Whisper has a friend Richard who is one of the organisers of the event. He would like Whisper to give a talk to some of the large audiences (thousands of people) there. A cash collection in the audience after a talk like that can raise thousands of pounds.

It’s also possible to book a stall at the event for around £500. The benefits of this to Whisper are less clear, as we would be competing head on against the likes of Christian Aid.

There may be significant transport and accommodation costs associated with attending Greenbelt for more than a day, because it’s usually held in a semi-rural location.

Veronika went on her own to Greenbelt in 2013 and she raised around £500 in donations from somebody who was running a refreshment stall.

If Whisper wants a place on the stage, negotiations for this would need to start in the second half of the preceding year.
